Gallbladder Treatment Techniques For A Healthy Digestive System
One of the most common forms of surgeries performed in the US is a gallbladder removal. In fact, there are over 700,000 of this type of surgery performed each year. While the gallbladder is something that you can live without, it would be much better to your overall digestive system if you could avoid this type of gallbladder treatment.
A Silent Problem
One of the biggest reasons for having a gallbladder removal surgery is because of the forming of gallstones. Gallstones are small pebble like crystals that form in the gallbladder because of an excess of bile and other chemicals. These gallstones can be very painful when they block the bile duct, or they can be a silent problem.
Many times when there are gallstones present, they will go undetected. A person with gallstones may feel some pain once in a while in their abdominal area and attribute that pain to cramps or some other easily explained ailment. However, gallstones can cause more serious damage if allowed to remain in the gallbladder.
Gallbladder Treatment
There are several ways that you can treat gallbladder problems, especially gallstones, before you have to have surgical intervention. These treatments have been around for centuries and have helped people get their gallbladder functioning correctly again, and help the gallstones to pass through the body.
Gallbladder Cleanse
A cleansing of the gallbladder is one of the most common methods of gallbladder treatment. With the use of some simple ingredients, you can flush out the harmful toxins in the body and hopefully pass the painful gallstone. There are several different ways you can do a gallbladder cleanse, but the easiest is to take two days and eat only organic foods. This means non processed, no fat foods. Then before bedtime drink 1/4 cup olive oil with 1/4 lemon juice. Do this in 25 min. intervals until you have taken in an entire cup of each.
After this, go to bed and lie down on your right side. In the morning take 4 cups of warm water with uniodized salt and eat warmed vegetables throughout the day. This will cleanse your body of not only fats, and toxins, but also contribute to the passing of the gallstone.
Change in Diet
While surgery is always an option if the cleansing does not work, another gallbladder treatment that you can try is to change the way that you eat. It would stand to reason that since your diet is the reason that you are having gallbladder problems, your diet should also be able to help you out of it.
After the cleansing, continue with a diet that consists of fresh foods instead of processed foods. Keep the proteins from animal fats to a minimum while concentrating on other sources of protein like vegetables and lean meat such as turkey and fish. Drink lots of water each day to keep your system flushed out.
Seek Out Other Gallbladder Treatment
These two are the most common forms of gallbladder treatment. If you continue to have problems with your gallbladder then consult with your physician about other non-surgical treatments.
