Tips For Improving Gall Bladder Health

Many people will go their entire life and never even think about the importance of the gall bladder in your body. Doctors all around the world agree that the gall bladder is central in digestion, and the cleansing process, of your body.

Gall Bladder Function

The gall bladder secretes bile which is necessary in the metabolization of fats and oils. This process provides the body not only with a way to process these particles, but also leads to strength and vitality by the process.

The gall bladder is not only important to the digestive system. While its main job is to secrete bile into the intestines, when there is not adequate bile stored in the body you can experience other problems, most common of which is back problems. When bile levels are low in the body, then the creation of synovial fluids will also decrease. This is important to your joints especially in the back.

Looking After Gall Bladder Health

One of the most important things to remember with gall bladder health is that your diet is a major contributor. Many people suffer with gall bladder problems, most commonly in the form of gallstones, because of the very foods that they eat. Fatty foods are a major contributor and they cause the liver and gall bladder to secrete excess bile. If all this bile does not make its way out of the gall bladder then it will begin to form into small crystallized pebbles.

Cleanse Your Gall Bladder

Before doing any type of process to help with your gall bladder health it is important to see your doctor for a check up first. After you have completed that, you can begin a cleansing process for ridding the body of any type of harmful toxins.

You can do this by eliminating processed foods and replacing them with a diet of natural vegetables and fruits. Take lots of fluids and eat vegetables for a period of about a week.

High Protein Diet

Fats are the major culprit in the developing of gall bladder problems. You can improve the overall gall bladder health by having a diet that is high in protein and fiber and very low in fats. This does not mean in the form of a juicy steak. Animal protein also includes various forms of grease and fats that contribute to gallstones.

Protein in the form of vegetable protein will help your gall bladder process the bile in a more efficient manner. Artichokes, cucumbers, cabbage, eggplant, peas, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, watercress, and zucchini are all great forms of vegetable proteins.

Poultry in the form of lean chicken and turkey is also good for your gall bladder health. Fish is ideal as well because of its very low fat content.

Exercise

Keeping your body healthy with a regular exercise program will also help with your gall bladder health. As obesity is a common contributor to gall bladder problems, keeping your body fat low, and your heart in good health will aid in the digestive process and bile secretion.
